Welcome to the Music Education Association of Oberlin (MEAO) homepage!

MEAO is affiliated with the Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association (OCMEA) and is registered as Chapter 113 in the Music Educators National Conference records. As stated in the MEAO Charter, the purposes of the organization are to:

  1. Present and discuss issues and developments in the field of music education by offering workshops and presentations given by musicians and educators.

  2. Support the pre-professional development of Oberlin students by providing for the extension of their educational opportunities.

  3. Foster interaction within the Music Education Division

  4. Serve as a liaison between OCMEA and members of that organization at Oberlin.
