Firewoman #1
An interesting start. The background is the strongest part of this image, the face being just a color modification of the underlying pattern.
Firewoman #2
Trying to strengthen the difference between the face and the background. At this point I felt like the image was definitely heading somewhere interesting.
Firewoman #3
Smoothed the image. Background loses complexity, the face loses a lot of noise. Net gain.
Firewoman #4
Epiphany. When I produced this alteration I knew I had a good image. The strong black lines play well against the rest of the image. I like the emphasis they place on the female head, strengthing the differentiation between it and the background.
Firewoman #5, Icewoman
Of course with a computer editing the color map is a snap and a quick reversal of the blue and red in the color map resulted in this image. Blue doesn't seem to work as well as red here.
Firewoman #6, Elf
Took the color palette apart completely. This brought out all sorts of detail that was hidden in close shades in the earlier images. A little addtional editing created an Elven pointed ear.
Firewoman #7
Using yet another palette created this image. The background is far more interesting than Firewoman #5, and the yellow in place of black in the facial features makes them more visible and distinct. The image looks even more flame like, and the face is even more intense.
Firewoman #8
Out goes the color, taking the entire map to greyscale. The most interesting part of the image is the femal form to the left of the head. That was not drawn in it was revealed in altering the colormap. From randomness emerges woman. Venus and the Conch shell and all that I suppose. :)
