The Outer Chamber

The Outer Chamber includes two expansive sections; The Riveria Room, and Napolean Lounge. Each are important sections of the well oiled machine that is the OCC. Here we can see the many, busy students at work inside the house. Let's explore:

  1. The Napolean Lounge
  2. The Riviera Room
  3. The Grand Hallway

The Napolean Lounge

The Napolean Lounge serves primarily as the home theatre/multimedia room in the OCC. Offering dvd and vhs play-back as well as a Playstation 2, the Napolean Lounge makes a great place to have fun between reading and meals.
Sometimes, the Napolean Lounge is also used to store weapons owned and operated by the Oberlin Gun Club. This tight relationship cultivated between the two gives students the rare opportunity to have constant access to all kinds of firearms should the need arise. Beyond that, the Napolean Lounge boasts comfortable stadium seating as a complement to the home theatre system.

The Rivieria Room

Here we are in the lovely Riviera Room, a baroque styled, somber room, used primarily for reflection and thought. Many of our academic stars enjoy kicking back their feet for a nice intellectual discussion, usually by the fireplace.
Other times, the Riviera Room can be almost bursting with activity. People tend to enjoy congregating here before meals to discuss the meal that awaits them. Other times it can be used as a wine tasting area as shown below. Sometimes students spontaneously break out in dance here. They are always finding new interesting ways to make use of the Riviera Room.

The Grand Hallway

Connecting the Outer Chamber to the Inner Sanctum, the Grand Hallway is an architectural masterpiece. Deftly accomodating large streams of students, it is perfect for the bustling environment engendered by OCC.
The Grand Hallway not only connects the Outer Chamber to the Inner Sanctum, it also leads to a well stocked restroom, and the Upper Levels of the house.
