Section: Summary

Operating systems control the memory and files of the computer. Operating systems set up the user interface which helps you as the user interact effectively with your computer.The two kinds of interfaces available are GUI which is graphical user interface, and command line interface. Operating systems also have file management programs to help you copy, move, delete and organize directories, subdirectories, and files. Operating systems also have symbolic representation schemes to further help the user interact with files and programs.
