• Become familiar with the essential characteristics and capabilities of processing units
• Recognize the characteristics of analog and digital information storing techniques
• Describe the fetch / execute cycle
• Classify various types of encoding schemes
• Recognize the essential machine language commands

Prerequisite Skills

• comfort with keyboard and mouse
• Experience with the STAIR process
