Word Processing / Typing Experience

I got a C in typing class in high school.  My typing instructor would
be shocked to know how many people I have taught how to use word
processors.  He would have been extremely shocked to know that I'm
making my living on a keyboard, and writing a book chapter on word
processing!

Interesting Things About Me

I have been a lifeguard, a swimming pool manager, a special education
teacher, a computer programmer, a computing teacher, and a writer.  I
used to teach high school students with severe cognitive disabilities.
It was a wonderful and very challenging job.  I miss the students, but
I enjoy the things I'm doing now.  I like computers, but I don't think
they are nearly as important in the grand scheme of things as some
people would have you believe.  Computers are there simply as tools to
help people have better lives.
